The work Stream above the valley by Orrrd (Gustavo Méndez López / Norman Neumann) is a sort of drawing piece into the exhibition space with sound. Visitors can enter the work and listen to various electromagnetic recordings from the Municipal Gallery of Bremen through a pair of headphones.
A 50 meter long audio cable forms the base of the work. At one end of this cable is a small blue coil. This catches electromagnetic waves, invisible to us, in the immediate vicinity. Via the infrastructure of the work, this information flow reaches the headphones as an auditory level, as well as an amplifier at the back of the work. At the entrance of the exhibition, we have also filmed the rooms of the Städtische Galerie during the recording were made. The resulting image material can be seen on the wall and also be listen via headphones.
